About us
Drama and play for everyday!

The background
Pyjama Drama was founded in 2005 by Sarah Owen, a secondary school drama teacher who recognised the immense benefits that children derive from drama, movement, music and play. It was an immediate success and now Pyjama Drama is expanding rapidly and being delivered in towns across the UK.
The company is run by two Directors, Sarah Owen and Rhian Lindley who between them have six children. They understand the importance of family life and run a family friendly business in which all their children continue to be their daily inspiration.
The programme
Here at Pyjama Drama we are passionate about providing young children with a drama programme that is fun, exciting, and which develops key social skills such as concentration, co-operation and confidence. Through our unique program which combines the disciplines of drama, movement, music and play, we are committed to offering children opportunities to explore the world in which they live, to learn about themselves and to develop their creative skills.
The National Curriculum
The programme has been developedin line with the current requirements of the National Curriculum for England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. Sessions support the key learning outcomes of Curriculum guidelines and has been praised by Estyn (Inspectorate for Education and Training in Wales) and by Nursery Managers and Head Teachers throughout the UK.
Our Music
Pyjama Drama music is truly unique – with over fifty original songs especially written to support each individual session to which it is skillfully integrated. Our music is fun and encourages the development of language, movement, and creative skills – children may be in role as a caterpillar during one action song or boogie like a dragon in another for example!
Our policy of care
We have a comprehensive care policy which ensures the health, safety and welfare of your child and welcome any comments or suggestions you may have about any aspect of Pyjama Drama.
