Babble and Speak, suitable for babies from approximately 6 months, combines baby sign language, story, song and play. Makaton, a form of signing initially developed for children with special needs to aid communication, is integrated within each class to help babies communicate with their parents from a far younger age than would normally be expected. It is not intended to replace words as the signs are used alongside words by the parent, and in fact it is believed that signing from an early age can actually aid language development.

Parents tell us how invaluable it is when at such a young age their babies are able to tell them when they are hot, cold, hungry, thirsty, tired or even that they need their nappy changing. And babies tell us, in their own unique way, how much they love the songs, stories and games!

Babble and Speak is great fun. It develops communication skills, concentration and confidence and encourages young children to interact socially with each other. Even parents learn new skills!
